Taking Care Of Your Clothes
Posted on: August 23, 2011
We all like buying ourselves some new clothes every now and again whether it is some smart clothes for work or casual clothes for the weekends and to relax in. Whatever use we are looking to get out of the clothes we buy we want to ensure they stay in a great condition for as long as possible and there are a few ways of doing so.
The first is to make sure you buy quality products, the better quality you buy the longer you are going to get out of them. With workwear you need to buy the best as you are going to be wearing it for at around 50 hours a week (assuming you work the standard 37.5 hours a week plus travel time) so you need something that is going to be comfortable and will get a lot of wear out of.
The first thing to do is to make sure they are hung up in a wardrobe with plenty of space in. Hanging them all squashed in means they are going to get creased very quickly. Stains are a common problem but the important thing to do is to tackle any stain before it dries as it is easier to get out and there is less chance of the garment being harmed. Stain removers can be useful but with so many available you may pick the wrong one.
Drycleaners are the best option for stains as they know what they are doing and should be able to get the stain out. You can take some of the stain out but do not rub it as you are just rubbing it into the fabric. Let the drycleaners know what the stain is as there are different products that are more suitable to certain fabrics.
Washing a garment in the washing machine when it is advised to be hand washed can really affect the item of clothing and can, in many cases, ruin it. Consult the label where guidelines about how to wash it should be printed. Stick to them at all times because they are there for a reason.
Making sure you look after your clothes means you can make the most out of them and ensure you get your moneys worth too. You never get a second chance to make a first impression so make sure you are looking smart at work and always look your best.
With a range of corporate clothing available you have a wide range of clothes including Chef clothing for a more casual look.
